Summer has well and truly arrived at Bankside Hotel London with the arrival of a new Artist in Residence, a new chef and a new menu, alongside new offers throughout the hotel, making Bankside the place to be for summer in the city!

Enjoy a girls weekend with Bankside’s ‘Girl Culture’ package

Bankside Hotel has put its signature creative spin on the classic girl’s getaway, ideal for celebrating a birthday or getting together with friends in the city.

Visitors can take in the surrounding culture of South Bank with their friends, whether catching up over Champagne in pyjamas in the hotel’s stylish rooms, or using the chic suites as a base for getting ready for a night on the town.

The vending machines on each floor meet every need for a girls weekend, from designer sunglasses to Charlotte Tilbury face masks. Outside the hotel, guests are just steps away from some of London’s best bars and theatres.

The ‘Girl Culture’ two-night experience package includes a 3-course ‘Culture Fixe’ Dinner in Art Yard Bar & Kitchen on the first night, two signature cocktails per person and a delicious breakfast included each morning.

Get culturally curious with discounts at Art Yard Bar & Kitchen

Bankside Hotel has a passion for art and culture baked into the very foundations of the hotel – which is why the hotel offers a 20% discount in Art Yard Bar & Kitchen to those that immerse themselves in the local culture.

Guests can enjoy up to 20% off food and drink when presenting a ticket (free or paid) to any one of the neighbourhood’s galleries, theatres or cultural landmarks.

For those looking for a new home office in a cultural hub, Bankside’s new Work Day Pass offers guests unlimited tea and coffee, complimentary water and wi-fi and 50% off food between 9am and 5pm, all for just £35.

Bankside’s neighbours include the Tate Modern, Shakespeare’s Globe, The Old Vic, The National Theatre and Southbank Centre, to name just a few, so whether immersing in a thought-provoking exhibition or kicking back with some of the city’s best comedy, Art Yard Bar & Kitchen is the perfect space to refuel before an evening of culture.

Guests can now experience a brand-new menu that has wood-fired oven cuisine at its heart, with signature highlights including wood-fired truffle and wild mushroom pizzette and slow-cooked barbecue glazed beef brisket with charred corn on the cob and coleslaw. Chef Sofiane Kaced leads the hotel’s new menu change as their new Executive Chef, bringing nearly a decade of experience working in luxury cuisine to Bankside.

Swing by Bankside’s Studio to meet Lana Matsuyama, new Artist in Residence

Bankside’s on-site Art Yard Maker’s Studio is home to an ever-changing programme of Artists in Residence, at which time the artists use the space to develop their creative process and showcase their work, and they are delighted to kick off the summer season with the return of Lana Matsuyama to the Art Yard Studio.

In the studio until 15th September 2023, Lana is spending her residency focusing on her signature ‘Of Katatchi’ series, exploring the themes of work and play.

Focusing specifically on Bankside Hotel and its surrounding area, Lana will explore how the hotel functions as a place for both exploration and collaboration, both in work in play, ultimately articulating this through her artwork, the residency space, and various projects. This exciting opportunity will allow guests to see the artist at work and participate in the events that she plans to host during her residency.
