Swing by Bankside’s Studio to meet Lana Matsuyama, new Artist in Residence
Bankside’s on-site Art Yard Maker’s Studio is home to an ever-changing programme of Artists in Residence, at which time the artists use the space to develop their creative process and showcase their work, and they are delighted to kick off the summer season with the return of Lana Matsuyama to the Art Yard Studio.
In the studio until 15th September 2023, Lana is spending her residency focusing on her signature ‘Of Katatchi’ series, exploring the themes of work and play.
Focusing specifically on Bankside Hotel and its surrounding area, Lana will explore how the hotel functions as a place for both exploration and collaboration, both in work in play, ultimately articulating this through her artwork, the residency space, and various projects. This exciting opportunity will allow guests to see the artist at work and participate in the events that she plans to host during her residency.
